I believe I have found my most favorite website – a logo showcase web site.

Logo design has been my favorite projects. Unfortunately, I have not given many opportunities to create logos. Every time, when I was given a logo assignment, I spent much more time and effort… I became a mania.

logopond.com has quite large numbers of logos. Most of them in the LP Gallery are pretty good. Because it has a large archive , it is able to show the trends of the logo design today.You can also see the transfermation of one logo/identity.

Found a nice website with anything I am insterested in.

Webdesignerdepot.com is still a new site, the archive is still small but great content. You can tell the site owner(s) can do great design as well.

It has this new post – “30 Funny Twitter Comics“. lol, twitters!

Wrap Up Nicely

Nowadays, most products are sold by packaging. And it is really facinating.

TheDieline is the first website I found dedicates to packaging design. Intersting.

Pally Girafee is an e-commerce site selling original bags and stationary designed/illustrated by Shinzi Katoh. Cute! Very Japanese.

I love canvas bags and stationary. I was always excited to prepare for a new school semester becasue it meant I could shop new stationary and school bag. Unlike in the US, we had much more options and freedom to choose. I still enjoy looking through pens and notes, but I stop purchasing any. Honestly, taking notes, writing blogs, sending emails with a computer prevent me from practicing my penmen-ship for a long long time.

Daily Doze of Tears

Seven-year-old Tarak McLain on This I Believe

We are in a recession. I am fortunate to keep my job, even though its “job description” became much longer. I am still relatively happy with it.

I have been a public radio listener for just more than two years. As I started going to work with bus, pod cast became a necessity of my commute. And, something I must have, it may sound strange, is a daily doze of tears – a inspiring story, a cheerful article, an encouraging essay. “This I Believe” is one of sources for my tears.

Roughly two weeks ago, I missed my bus and took a long walk to the next bus stop. I was listening to Tarak McLain’s “This I Believe” list. I listened to it 3 times, and walk through the next 6 bus stops with tears in my eyes.

I BELIEVE that a “daily doze of tears” makes me stronger and hopeful. And I BELIEVE that if we all share and treasure experience and feelings of others, the world will be a better place tomorrow.

Happy Holiday & World Peace

I just want to wish everyone had a HAPPY HOLIDAY. We have been working so hard and deserved a good rest and some fun. It is a different year, a difficult year, for many families. Especially being a public radio listener, I hear sad stories over the country every day. Sometimes, I just couldn’t help my tears. After massive lay-off and closure of many companies, we are fortunate if we still have our jobs.

All Things Type: Typophile

Another typography related website. It is so obvious when you enter a high quality website – it is organized, readable, and informative. I have not yet got the full scope of this site yet, but it sure covers a lot from typeface to legal issue.

More fun, it has a new challenge every week called “type battle” – just like a small type exercise.
