I was skipping through wordpress, trying to find something interesting to ready and kill my sleepless night.

I came across I Turn My Camera On. It mentions one of the resource the writer is using for her blog called “FFFFOUD”.

This is a very interesting found. Unlike Flickr, this photo blog has a smaller target of user and audience. It is about inspiring images found online. You don’t have to be good at photography to post amazing images. Sharing your taste, your inspiration, doesn’t matter where they come from.

Many good graphic design works are found. In other word, another good design resource has been connected.

It is interesting to look back how I am connected from one place to another through these internet foundlings. It is truly an INTER – NET.

Daily Drop Cap is beautiful decorative initial by typographer and illustrator  Jessica Hische. She even includes the code using this drop cap initials in your web blog. However, usage is limited to noncommercial use. Check out her portfolio website, too. Pretty cool stuffs!

I cannot believe it has been over two months since my last post. I am glad that my project was completed and successful. It was busy but satisfied.

Although I didn’t have time to add any new post, I was scanning through my favorite sites every day. Last night, when I came across this post about Kinetic Photography on smashing magazine, I knew I had to share it. Kinetic Photography is also known as “camera tossing”, a technique to shoot photography with the camera’s physical movement – tossing, or spinning, swinging … It results in a random, unexpected abstract imagery.

A link at the end of this post will lead you to a world of tossing – the  Camera Toss Flickr Group There are many many stunning pictures in the group pool. Some are recognizable as the camera moving, some are totally abstract – the beauty of light and movement captured by cameras.

KORRES is a Greece homeopathic pharmacy. Its collection of naturally formulized cosmetics is quickly getting into the US market and many other countries. Of course, that is not the point of this post. Check out their a website – flowing flexable grid based website, very nicely done.

As so many people will go online and look for advise, or get to know a company, a product, a person, etc. Website is absolutely important to make the first impression.

I thought I knew Michael Jackson too little to give any comment. However, watching all stations cashing in by pulling together documentary files about Michael Jackson’s life, I realized that so many familliar melodies I know since childhood are from this King of Pop. There are so many achivements and first-times Michale Jackson had created. He was really, really talented and professional. He had been so many people’s inspiration, especially for people in color. He was also very kind and gentle. There should have been much much more for him to achieve, if he had not gone, long before his death.

In NPR’s interview, Producer Mark Johnson told the story that after the gangsters watched the music videos on their ipod, then returned the ipod, and said they will have their back. As I listened to the podcast on the bus, I couldn’t help smiling. And tears flowed into my eyes.

Singing Stand By Me with two other girls in high school at a radio station event was my first independent performance (not arranged by parents and school). The song also has a Chinese version.

I am going to download the MP3, listen to it on my flight, and let the tears run.

This website’s name is “weatherflash”. It does provide weather info in a flash. This site is so simple and the information just loaded in a second. It shows 3 days’ weather broadcast for cities outside of the U.S., and one week’s broadcast for cities in the U.S.

I stumbled upon Christ Merrit couple days ago. My first impression with him was really good. He is very clean and clear. He has such skill to explain things in a subtle alternative way but easy to understand. Plus, he really know some funny stuffs.
