Hello world! It has been 6 months! I can’t believe that I have been in mommy’s tummy for almost 180 days and I can’t wait to come out… Yes, yes, I know that every day in mommy’s tummy is import for my growth and I have to wait 4 more months.
I don’t have a name, yet, but daddy & mommy call me “Panda-chan”. And daddy is trying hard to find beautiful and smart names for me. You know, naming a Japanese-Chinese-American baby is not an easy task. Meanwhile, mommy is keeping me healthy and safe in her stomach.
I have been a good girl so far, except for occasional turning and stretching in my little space and surprise mommy. My doctor, I mean mommy’s doctor thinks I am a good girl, too. He said that I’d been growing at a good speed with a very strong heartbeat at the last visit.
I can hear a lot of sounds now. Mommy’s heartbeat – so peaceful and slow, and her voice – telling me what she is doing and calling me “panda-chan”. Sometimes, daddy talked to me, too, but mostly doesn’t make sense. He may think I don’t understand anyways. Well, he is wrong. Although I don’t understand words literally, I can feel the message. I hope daddy will talk to me more because his voice is very soothing, and more he talks to, the better I will be able to pick him out from the crow when I come out from mommy’s belly.
What are other tricks I can do? Opening and closing my mouth to swallow. Putting my fingers in my mouth to do a little suckling – practicing for the most important task.
